I went to the doctor on Monday with severe lower back pain. They gave me muscle relaxers, and Vicodin aadn told me to take these 3 times a day with Ibuprofen and icing , stretching and low back exercies. It is only getting worse, I have been taking about 3x the meds I am supposed too (which I know isn’t good but damn I’m in pain) and it barely touches it. I am 31 and currently unemployed so I have had time to walk and excersise but I think I am dying. Now my right bicep is so sore I can barely pick anything up . What the hell? I have polycystic ovaries and my mom had endometriosis.

A natural treatment to ease sore muscles is by filling a bathtub of warm water, and dropping a few drops of Lavender Essential oil into the bath water.

There’s nothing worse than a toothache. You can’t sleep, you can’t eat almost nothing and you are taking painkillers like crazy. I can’t promise you the information I will provide you with will necessarily stop that in an instant, but I will try my best. Just remember that the first thing you should do is try and contact your doctor. This information here is only meant to make your life easier until you are able to see your doctor.
The first thing you want to do is clean your teeth. This might hurt if your problem is severe, but try your best to resist it. Also, try using a tooth paste that is made for sensitive teeth. After that, try and sit in a comfortable position. Lay down or sit upright, depending on what feels more comfortable to you.
A good cure for this can be clove oil, which will ease the pain for a short period of time. Use some cotton wool and place it on the tooth that is causing you trouble.
If this is not enough for you or you want to get even more of a pain relief try applying a hot water bottle to the area that hurts most. Be careful with this though as some people state that you should never apply heat to an infected area of your mouth. A hot water bottle is only likely to be useful if you’re suffering from sinus inflammation. You’re dentist will be able to take an x-ray to confirm this.
Which leads us to our final and ultimate advice: Call the dentist! If the one you’re familiar with is not available, just search for another one. There is nothing worse than letting an infection live just because your doctor busy. There are plenty of doctors out there.

Probably the best example of a practical application of hypnosis is its use in reducing the pain response. It has proved to be a remarkably effective anesthetic; indeed the widespread use of hypnosis as a medical anesthetic in the nineteenth century was halted only by the introduction of ether and chloroform as more acceptable substitutes.
Two types of pain have been studied extensively in the laboratory. In research into ischemic pain. a blood pressure cuff or tourniquet is attached to the subject’s arm and tightened; the subject is then told to exercise the hand and fingers, There is almost no pain at first, but then very severe pain starts, becoming almost intolerable by 10 to 20 minutes from the time the tourniquet is applied. Ischemic pain produced in this way resembles the pain that follows surgery (Hilgard, 1975). In research into cold-pressor pain the person’s hand and arm are placed in ice water. The pain is severe arid intensifies very rapidly; 30-45 seconds are as much as most people can tolerate.
Under hypnosis it is suggested to subjects that they will feel no pain from either of these two procedures. There is some positive effect for all subjects, regardless of the individual level of responsiveness. With the cold-pressor test, 67 percent of subjects who are highly responsive to hypnotism show substantial pain reduction. Of subjects who have medium or low responsiveness, 17 and 13 percents respectively, experience significant pain reduction (Hilgard, 1975).
